SEM Manager

We’re looking for a smart, naturally curious, and self-motivated individual with hands-on experience executing wildly successful paid search campaigns. As an SEM Manager on our Managed Services team you will be be responsible for proactively analyzing and optimizing PPC accounts in order to achieve (and ideally exceed) each client’s performance marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute highly effective PPC campaigns on Google Ads and Bing Ads
  • Analyze and report on SEM performance with an emphasis on providing actionable intel
  • Ongoing optimization of search, shopping, display, and remarketing campaigns
  • Iterative testing of search ads, targeting parameters, and bidding strategies
  • Communicate paid search strategy, performance outcomes, and action items to a combination of technical and non-technical teams including c-suite executives, marketing directors, and analysts
  • Understand client business goals, anticipate future needs, and help determine effective solutions
  • Research, implement, and adjust targeting strategies (audiences, keywords, networks, etc.)
  • Fulfill on-demand SEM audits identifying actionable opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients
  • Build professional relationships with clients and go the extra mile to help them succeed

You must have

  • Hands-on experience planning and executing successful SEM campaigns
  • Ecommerce experience (either in-house or at an agency)
  • B.A. or B.S. degree with an excellent academic track record
  • Strong sense of accountability, an unwavering will to win, and high attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a semi-autonomous, fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Exceptional knowledge of search engine marketing, PPC metrics, and search analytics
  • Highly skilled with Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Google Ads Certification, Bing Ads Accreditation, and Google Analytics Individual Qualification

Bonus if you have

  • M.S. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related technical field
  • Demonstrated expertise working with data feeds
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, Wolfram
  • Experience with other digital advertising channels (Amazon, Social, Programmatic, Video)
  • Familiarity with business intelligence software, digital analytics, and data management platforms
